    • L. Ron Hubbard’s great-grandson says Scientology is a “dangerous cult” that ruined his grandfather’s life and cast a dark shadow on his family.

“My family sees Scientology as absolute poison,” Jamie DeWolf tells Page Six. “It’s a dangerous cult.”

DeWolf’s great-grandfather, L. Ron Hubbard, created Scientology, and his grandfather, L. Ron Hubbard Jr., was a high-ranking member for most of his life.

“But he became disgusted about what he was seeing behind the curtain, so he left,” DeWolf says. “For the rest of his life, he was hunted. And he couldn’t even have a relationship with his father.”

  2. I have been reading more on early church history as the book crosses my path. Its worse than I thought. Public policy and stuff controlled by rioting mobs controlled by the church. Etc. Over points of theology..as if.

  3. Watch live: Barack Obama sworn-in for second term as US president

Watch live as US President Barack Obama is officially sworn-in for his second 4-year term in the White House.

President Barack Obama will take the official oath of office in a small, private ceremony at the White House on Sunday, setting a more subdued tone for his second inauguration than his historic swearing-in four years ago.

Obama will still be sworn in publicly outside the US Capitol on Monday with all the traditional pomp, but that event will be mainly for show.

Technically, Sunday is the only one that really counts according to the Constitution, which mandates that the president be sworn in on January 20.

  5. Algeria Bashing by Incompetent America: A Bad Idea

The hostage crisis seems to be winding down after a final assault by Algerian forces killed or scattered most of the remaining jihadis occupying the gas processing plant in the south of the country. As of this morning, 23 hostages were reported killed, with the number likely to rise as authorities begin to identify the 20 or so remaining charred corpses.

  7. “Activists” across Post Amerika are boasting pro-2nd gatherings with “thousands”. They should not have included photos. Of course folks in Post Amerika fear their government more than they fear so called “terrorists”……so I can understand their reticence when it comes to exposing themselves as supporters of the US Constitution, better to live as the Irgun or IZL… underground and active.

  9. Just home from a movie and dinner date with the hubs. He picked the flick. Zero Dark Thirty. Meh. Two and a half hours looooong. This is why we almost never go to movies. The last three movies we saw in a theater were Dolphin Tale, March of the Penguins and Eight Below. Sense a theme there? LOL

I picked our favorite local sushi place for dinner. Yum. Really, really good nigiri and an avocado, asparagus and cucumber roll. The chef prepared a little special morsel for us too. It looked delicious but was made with crab so I let Carl eat it all. I think they make an extra effort because we sit at the sushi bar and I whip out my bamboo travel chopsticks. Or maybe they’re just nice.

I also drank a whole bottle of Asian Pear sake. Weeeeeeee! LOL How you say, drinkled, round eyes? 😋

        • You do not need a fully-Semi-Automatic assault machine gun to protect you from pick-pockets…… You already have 911 and an ObamaPhone. Leave the weapons to the perfessionuls.

          • leave it to the professionals? when they can handle an AR, shotgun, or handgun as well as I can, there’s still that lag time issue as they honestly can’t be everywhere at once. I don’t have a security detail.

Maybe I should find out where the queen of the deserts female commando are. I hear they’re all looking for work these days.

  10. A West Point think tank has issued a paper warning America about “far right” groups such as the “anti-federalist” movement, which supports “civil activism, individual freedoms and self-government.”

The report issued this week by the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., is titled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.”

  11. Fly the Friendly Skies

Former Transportation Security Administration agent John W. Irwin has pleaded guilty to stealing $520 from a passenger at Norfolk International Airport. The passenger claimed he had a medical condition that would not allow him to go through the machine and asked to be patted down. TSA agents then selected the man for addtional screening in a private room. Irwin used that opportunity to hide cash the man had placed in a plastic bin. Irwin said he did it because the man “had given my fellow employees a hard time.”

  12. Despite the fact that its subsidiary Warner Bros. routinely distributes blockbuster movies that are replete with gratuitous gun violence, Time Warner Cable has issued a company-wide ban on television ads that show “guns pointed at people,” another illustration of how firearms ownership is being made taboo to coincide with the Obama administration’s gun control agenda.

“We no longer accept ads showing semiautomatic weapons and guns pointed at people,” Time Warner Cable said in a statement. “We stand by this policy. If it’s essential to a business owner to show this kind of imagery in their commercials, there are other advertising options in the marketplace.”

In outlining its reasons for the decision to cancel American Guns, Discovery stated that the program made “buying/owning guns seem fun, glamorous, even normal.” Given the fact that over 70 million Americans exercise their second amendment right to own firearms, this statement sounds completely absurd.

Firearms retailers like Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Cheaper Than Dirt also contributed to the meme that gun ownership is something to be ashamed of by banning sales of semi-autos.

We need prompt and decisive action by the occupation forces to rid the region of the gun menace.

  13. No more blunderbuss for you!

Attorney General Eric Holder spoke at the U.S. Conference of Mayors Friday and said the following (numbers are mine):

“This unspeakable tragedy but also the individual tragedies that take place on your streets and all (1) too often unnoticed stand as stark reminders of our shared responsibility to address not just the epidemic of gun related crimes and the (2) ongoing need for vigorous enforcement of our laws but also the underlying conditions that give rise to gun violence. Throughout our history, the overwhelming majority of American gun owners have been responsible, law abiding citizens, yet (3) we have repeatedly seen in the most tragic ways how easy it can be for dangerous people to acquire and to wreak havoc with deadly weapons. Although there is no single solution that can bring a decisive end to this senseless violence, it’s incumbent upon each of us to try and it’s time to consider (4) what common sense steps we can take together to save lives. This means (5) doing everything that we can to secure the tools and resources we need to keep guns out of the hands who are not and should not be allowed to possess them.

    • If you’re seeing a psychiatrist or psychologist and you say something that might be considered violent — “I can’t stand my boss and I wish he would just die!” — under Obama’s executive orders the psychiatrist must now report you to the government as a possible danger to society. This is done in complete violation of doctor-patient confidentiality, of course.

Once the government receives this information, it then conducts a raid on the home of the person in question, seizes his or her firearms, and places that person on a “no gun buy” list maintained by the FBI, completely outside of law and due process.

      • The problem with all this is that this “Judge Dredd” diagnosis is being made by the very same people who are steeped in an industry of fictitious diseases and disorders.

When a psychiatrist witnesses an active, intelligent child, he sees Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. When a psychiatrist visits with a person who seems to be sad, he sees a deficiency of antidepressant drugs requiring immediate chemical intervention.

How on earth are we supposed to trust these same people to observe someone sharing their most intimate, private thoughts and not leap to the conclusion that they might be a danger to society? Isn’t it true that nearly everyone, at one time or another, has held angry thoughts about a coworker, a neighbor, a family member, an ex-intimate partner or some other member of society? What person on this planet has never experienced the thought of violence against some other person?

So now we get to the real aim of all this: To criminalize everyone for completely normal human emotions and experiences. Now, the mere expression of anger will, itself, be “diagnosed” as a mental disorder that automatically strips from you any and all rights as an American citizen. You can then be hauled off to the Obama gulag and held under indefinite detention as if you were an enemy combatant. After all, you might be a terrorist! And if you get angry about being arrested, then that only proves that you’re a violent person, indeed!

  14. What we have here is an immense and startlingly new oil and gas field — nighttime evidence of an oil boom created by a technology called fracking. Those lights are rigs, hundreds of them, lit at night, or fiery flares of natural gas. One hundred fifty oil companies, big ones, little ones, wildcatters, have flooded this region, drilling up to eight new wells every day on what is called the Bakken formation. Altogether, they are now producing 660,000 barrels a day — double the output two years ago — so that in no time at all, North Dakota is now the second-largest oil producing state in America. Only Texas produces more, and those lights are a sign that this region is now on fire … to a disturbing degree. Literally.

  15. An elderly woman goes to the doctor and asks his help to revive her Husband’s sex drive.
‘What about trying Viagra?’ asks the doctor.
Not a chance’ says Mrs. Murphy. “He won’t even take an aspirin for a headache.”
‘No problem,’ replies the doctor. ‘Drop it into his coffee, he won’t even taste it. Try it and come back in a week to let me know how you got on.’
A week later Mrs. Murphy returns to the doctor and he inquires as to how things went.
‘Oh it was terrible, just terrible doctor.’
    What happened?’ asks the doctor.
‘Well I did as you advised and slipped it in his coffee. The effect was immediate. He jumped straight up, swept the cutlery off the table, at the same time ripping my clothes off and then proceeded to
make wild passionate love to me on the tabletop. It was terrible!
‘What was terrible?’ said the doctor, ‘Was the sex not good?’
‘Oh no doctor, the sex was the best I’ve had in 25 years…
but I’ll never be able to show my face in McDonald’s again!’, . . .

But why the hell does the ABC Store have to be closed on MLK day? I’m plumb out of Baileys.

  17. BILL HAS DONE IT AGAIN.
They’re standing on the corner and they can’t speak English.
I can’t even talk the way these people talk:
    Why you ain’t,
    Where you is,
    What he drive,
    Where he stay,
    Where he work,
    Who you be…
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.
Everybody knows it’s important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can’t be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.
People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now we’ve got these knuckleheads walking around.
The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.
These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids.
    $500 sneakers for what?
And they won’t spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.
I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.
Where were you when he was 2?
Where were you when he was 12?
Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn’t know that he had a pistol?
And where is the father? Or who is his father?
People putting their clothes on backward:
Isn’t that a sign of something gone wrong?
People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn’t that a sign of something?
Isn’t it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?
What part of Africa did this come from??
We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don’t know a thing about Africa …..
I say this all of the time. It would be like white people saying they are European-American. That is totally stupid.
I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don’t have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany , Scotland , England , Ireland , or the Netherlands . The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa . So stop, already! ! !
With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap ……… And all of them are in jail.
Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person’s problem.
We have got to take the neighborhood back.
People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different ‘husbands’ — or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players who cannot read.
We have million-dollar basketball players who can’t write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job.
Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other to a higher standard..
We cannot blame the white people any longer.’
Dr.. William Henry ‘Bill’ Cosby, Jr., Ed..D.
    WELL SAID, BILL
    It’s NOT about color…
    It’s about behavior!!!

    • it’s an intentional thing, hayseed. I met a lot of native amerikan’s who suffered and saw that bullshit and escaped the reservation. Some of the best soldiers I ever met. Men like Michael Bearsheart and Michael Americanhorse. (Yeah, everyone seems to be named Michael that I know).

I trained with Michael Bearsheart and ran the Fulda Marathon at the Fulda Gap with him. He developed what they determined was a stress fracture in his foot a couple of miles into a 26.2 mile race and finished second. I ended up getting a case of the shits and turned in a respectable 3:34 time and was well over an hour behind him. He’s got a broken foot and had to nurse me all the way back to Baumholder on the train. Not letting me dehydrate.

Go to Africa sometime. See Somalia. Ancient cultures that existed thousands of years before our Lord and Savior were doing just fine living the way they always had over a couple of thousand years were destroyed by,..sadly, European influence. Once you take the bedouin’s culture and history away and stick them in a centralized city, they are at the mercy of who ever is in charge.

I’ve seen cultures destroyed and the fall out of that destruction. I know the root cause. I don’t blame the people. that are living that life. I blame the evil central governments that hoisted it on them and destroyed their culture for political means.

I have met the enemy and it is us mostly.

  18. Too late and too tired to type the whole story now but remind me sometime to tell you about the “African” Americans at the airport in Harare. Funny shiite.

I try to sleep for a while again. Prayers for Babba and her fight with the gubmint for drugs. 💗

  19. Listen to me, house of Ya’akov,
All who remain of the house of Isra’el:
I have borne you from birth,
    Carried you since the womb,
Till your old age I will be the same_
I will carry you until your hair is white.
    I have made you, and I will bear you;
Yes, I will carry and save you.
To whom will you liken me and equate me?
With whom will you compare me, as if we were similar?»

  20. gotta warm up the truck this morning. Temps are plunging with the cold front coming through. It wasn’t really all that cold last night. will need to take the lad up to the bus and gather some provisions. the way the kids go through milk, eggs, cereal, and apples never fails to amaze me. I also need to think of something nice to make for supper. Lasagna would be perfect with salad and garlic bread on a cold night, but I’d have to make sure I can find room to put it up in one of the fridges. I might be able to pull it off.

  21. Has your young daughter’s Muslim friend been genitally mutilated yet?

If you live in the UK, she probably has. Female circumcision is illegal, so Muslims fly in clit-cutters from foreign countries and hold ‘batch cuttings.’ None of the illegal cutters have ever been prosecuted.

(I Believe one or two have been prosecuted in North America…. but then again we have more Mozlims)

A union representative told the Italian news agency ANSA: ‘There are only a few days left for both us and the animals. We would like to know why it has got to this point and mostly, what is going to be done,’

‘If no solution is found, we are going to be thrown out and the animals will die of hunger’.

Residents of the zoo include leopards, brown bears, elephants, zebras, ostriches, antelopes and tigers, as well as a petting zoo containing farm animals.

  23. Just hours before he died in a terrorist attack at the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Ambassador Chris Stevens sent a cable to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton painting a chaotic, violent portrait of the eastern Libya city and warning that local militias were threatening to pull the security they afforded U.S. officials.

Militia leaders told U.S. officials just two days before the attack that they were angered by U.S. support of a particular candidate for Libyan prime minister and warned “they would not continue to guarantee security in Benghazi, a critical function they asserted they were currently providing,” Stevens wrote in the cable the morning of Sept. 11, 2012. He also cited several other episodes that raised questions about the reliability of local Libya security.

  25. Post-Amerika get’s stranger and stranger:

RESEDA, Calif. (KTLA) — A male nurse at Sherman Oaks Hospital has been arrested on suspicion of committing a sex act on a corpse.

Security guards reportedly caught Alejandro Lazo, 61, committing an act of necrophilia on Sunday and held him until officers arrived.

He was arrested on a state Health and Safety Code violation because the body was deceased, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
